Easily my 'pic of the month' is this shot of Train 531 from the Shisler Road overpass - on a perfect Spring afternoon. Earlier in the day I got a fine shot of a the freight ship Algoma Enterprise cruising down the Welland canal, so this snap of Train 531 was the ideal windup to a very rewarding day of photography. Winding up a very satisfying day of train chasing is this delicious 'Black Widow' IC 1000 SD70 leading Train 531 today. Here, the train passes under the Schisler Road overpass at Silverthorn Court - where I climbed onto a pile of ballast rocks for a better angle. |
